Scenic Design

Scenic design is one of the most important elements in cinema, television or theatre. It is described as the art of creating the world around and actor in a movie or on stage and the décor on TV shows.

Known mostly as scenography or set design it is a key factor in the arts, because it has the ability of creating the illusion of distant, dangerous or fantastic lands in a studio. Scenic design begins with small scale models of important projects that become incredible and bigger than life decorations once the camera is rolling or an audience is present.

Scenic design is responsible for creating magical environments around the actors and the actions that happens on a stage and on movie sets. It creates castles, rivers, mountains, volcanoes, forests and oceans that are able to provide increased credibility to a set and complete the artistic vision of the director.

Scenographers are able to build the universe inside a limited space using incredible talent and knowledge.
